Meet the Crew

Dylan Lyons (Producer/Director/Editor) -  Dylan is a senior journalism major at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications. He has lived in several different states, but currently splits his time between Ithaca and Morristown, NJ. Dylan has a passion for broadcast journalism and has worked as a producer, assistant producer, anchor and reporter for Newswatch 16, the only local TV news program serving Tompkins County, NY. He currently serves as News Director for ICTV, Ithaca College's student-run television station. Dylan has interned with CBS News in London and New York City and will be interning for News 12 NJ this January. This is Dylan's first documentary.

Austen Saltz (Director of Photography) - Austen is a senior cinema production major at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications. He was born and raised in New York City and lives on the Upper West Side when he's not in Ithaca. Austen is in love with film-making. He has worked on a number of films and television shows at IC, including the award-winning show Ithapocalypse, which he wrote, produced and directed. Austen has interned with Aero Films and Optomen Productions in NYC and Objective Productions in London. This is Austen's first documentary.

Alina Marhefka (Assistant Camera) - Alina is a senior cinema production major at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications. When she's not in Ithaca, Alina calls Allentown, Pennsylvania home. She enjoys cinematography and has served as Director of Photography for a number of student films. Alina also loves to sing and performs in campus choral groups. She combined her two passions when she produced her first documentary last year. High Notes tells the story of a fundraiser to help ensure the survival of performing arts programs in Alina's school district.







Hayleigh Gowans (Assistant Camera) - Hayleigh is a senior journalism major at Ithaca College's Park School of Communications. An upstate New York girl from the start, Hayleigh splits her time between Ithaca and her home in Sherrill (near Utica). Hayleigh has devoted much of her time to both print and broadcast journalism. She writes for The Ithacan, IC's award-winning student newspaper, and has contributed to an online multimedia blog. Hayleigh is a certified lifeguard and teaches swimming lessons to children. This is Hayleigh's first documentary.
